Wear your oldest, tiredest, most worn-out or way-out-of-style outfit…to work (if possible), to shop, to a restaurant…wherever you go. In your journal take note of how you were treated…how you felt. Did this exercise feel more like a nod to simplicity or to sacrifice? Do an honest attitude assessment: do you judge others by their clothing?
Go deeper: Look at your clothing budget. Journal about how much you spend on your clothes, shoes, hair, and accessories. How important is being in style to you? Visit a thrift shop; make a donation of something fairly new or buy an outfit to wear. See less
