Find a quiet place and meditate on the following scripture “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10); repeat it aloud several times until you can say it without looking at the screen. What is God saying to you through the psalmist?
Now, repeat the phrase, shortening it each time as follows:
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
“Be still, and know that I am….”
“Be still, and know….”
“Be still….”
“Be….”
Spend several minutes simply “being” with God.
Go deeper: Consider the following: Is there a difference between seeing yourself as a “human being” as opposed to a “human doing?” Journal your response.
